Lifeline Scheme -This scheme is designed for individuals and their families who live and work abroad. There are three levels of cover to choose from, as well as optional evacuation cover, and cover for USA and Canada.

Company Scheme - This scheme is designed for company use; to help protect the health of employees who live and work abroad, usually for six months or more in every year. Schemes can be tailored to suit the differing needs of each company.

BUPA customer service has a very high reputation - each member has access to a 24-hour multi-lingual help line, which is open all year round. Claims are settled directly with hospitals and providers, usually in the local currency; this means less administration and inconvenience for members. A personalised membership card has all the emergency contact numbers necessary, and provides real peace of mind.

Additional Assistance cover

You can also opt to take out Assistance Cover, which is a range of additional options to your health insurance, designed to give you access to any extra assistance you may need.

Health line gives you telephone access to a team of dedicated health professionals.

Evacuation cover (includes Health line) for those who are concerned about the quality of local medical care, no matter where you are in the world.

Repatriation (includes Health line and Evacuation) The highest level of assistance cover that gives you the additional choice of returning home for treatment in your national country of origin, if for medical reasons, the treatment is not available locally.
